The nearest Amtrak station is in either Tyrone, PA or Lewistown, PA both about 30 miles from State College. Greyhound usually requires a change of bus near Harrisburg if travelling from the East or Pittsburgh if travelling from the West. State College is a 3-4 hour drive from Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington DC, Baltimore and Buffalo and a 4-5 hour drive from NYC. AccommodationsFor your convenience, we have reserved a block of rooms in Brill Hall, located within the Eastview Terrace community (house plan, floor plan, photos). Brill Hall includes classrooms, study rooms and a terrace where we will hold some evening meetings and events. The building also has a laundry room. The rooms themselves have twin beds with linens, a closet, a desk, a set of drawers, a dresser, a microwave and a refrigerator. A private bathroom with shower is also provided. There is a residential computing building nearby for Internet access. The two-week rate (14 days, 13 nights) is approximately $650 ($50/night) for a single room (see floor plan links above) which includes breakfast vouchers. Lunch and dinner costs are not included.
