Introduction to Spatial Data Analysis
by Luc Anselin, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

With permission from the Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research and Dr. Luc Anselin, CSISS is presenting selected short video clips of Dr. Anselin's lectures in the ICPSR workshop Introduction to Spatial Data Analysis. The workshop was an ICPSR-sponsored summer course that was hosted by CSISS. The lectures were taped at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in July 2001 by UCSB Production Services, under the direction of Ray Tracy.

The intellectual property rights associated with these presentations belong to Dr. Anselin, a member of the CSISS Executive Committee and Principal Investigator for CSISS Spatial Tools Development. Use of these clips is restricted to educational and instructional uses and must not be sold or distributed in whole or in part without written permission from the Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research, Dr. Anselin, and the Center for Spatially Integrated Social Science.

Nick Nagle edited these video clips on the Moran's I statistic. This is one of many measures of spatial autocorrelation used for spatial analysis in the social sciences. You will need RealPlayer to view these clips.
