What to teach: ArcView 3 or ArcGIS 8?
I am planning a 1-unit class as an intro to GIS software for Social Science students. Most are students who will get an M.A. and then work for an NGO or government agency. The minority will go on for a Ph.D. Which would be better to teach: ArcView 3 or ArcGIS 8? I understand from an ESRI rep that use of the versions is 50/50 right now.
